Give. Share. Donate.
Since 2003, we have raised more than $2.5 million to save lives and house people. Individuals, organizations, foundations, neighboring municipalities and faith-based groups have dedicated their money and personal energy to this cause. Become one of our supporters by donating today.
Financial Support
Direct Giving
The No Freeze Project gratefully accepts monetary donations — these contributions alter the lives of our guests in meaningful and positive ways. While unrestricted gifts allow the greatest flexibility in supporting our programs and meeting emergency needs, we gladly accept gifts designated for specific programs or projects.
Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift is a thoughtful and caring way to express sympathy while sharing concern for the well-being of others. Your memorial contribution to the No Freeze Project will improve the lives of people in need while honoring the memory of family or friends.
Tribute Gifts
A tribute gift is a unique method of recognizing significant events in the lives of special people. These gifts can celebrate birthdays, graduations, weddings, and other memorable occasions, and demonstrate that you share and respect that person’s commitment to the well-being and happiness of others.
Estate and Legacy Giving
If you have ever contemplated making a major donation, consider making it as part of your estate plan. Planned giving allows you to achieve your personal, financial, philanthropic and estate planning goals while you support the community and causes that are important to you.
Leigh Duffy Diversion Fund
The Leigh Duffy Diversion Fund is used to keep people out of shelter when safe alternatives are available. When a person enters shelter, their risk of returning to shelter increases. Those who are diverted have lower risk of ever entering shelter in their lifetime. Diversion money may pay to kennel a pet, provide a security deposit, fund meals at a relative’s home, pay transportation costs to get someone home, and other expenses.
Capital Campaign
Our capital campaign will launch in 2023. All money raised will go toward renovating our new building to meet the needs of our program and the people we serve.
Goods and Services
Our Current list of needed items
The needs of our guests change depending on the season. Certain items are always needed such as toiletries, hygiene, and some household supplies.
Volunteer
The No Freeze Needs Volunteers!
There are so many ways you can help us do our life-changing work. We need volunteers to support our seasonal work in the shelter, assist with administrative and organizational tasks throughout the year, provide repair and maintenance expertise, and organize and serve at our fundraising events. Our dedicated board of directors is an all-volunteer group from the Windham region.

Fundraisers
Much of our fundraising comes from events. You can help us by planning, volunteering or attending.
